Their story was over four years in the making. Including being literally worlds apart for over a year and a half. But on a wonderful day in May, all the waiting, and praying, and hoping, and preparing came rushing to a head in the form of a covenant and the sweetest kiss yet.

Ryan & Valerie’s relationship together began rooting itself in their hearts while away in the foreign land of Grenada, where they were both serving the Grenadian peoples in construction and ministry missions work. It also endured a space and season where Valerie lived on the other side of the world in Indonesia for a year and a half.

Their journey has been around the world and back. It has been tested and seasoned with times in each others arms and apart. And it was all for the better. It made this day, their day, so much more genuine and ripe with emotion.

They had endured much.

But just as two threads woven together tightly are stronger than a single string, so are the best days yet to come for the story of Ryan & Valerie. Their hearts are wide open now, confidently awaiting the next fantastic chapter and page that God would take them on.

Only this time. They go hand in hand, together.

Sometimes you meet people, and you just know that they have changed your life forever.

I (Jess) first met Jenni a year ago, almost to the date. She is my chiropractor with AFC Chiropractic, and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t thank God for her. She has helped change my life, dramatically. Without making this post about me, I will just say that I met her after being referred by a friend. I walked into her office in pain, desperate for some relief and for someone to help me. I’ve had chronic pain in my back for awhile now, caused by several different things. I was a total mess when I first came to see her. A year later, I am pain free and SO THANKFUL for the gift of healing she’s brought to my life. I don’t think she understands what a huge difference she’s made in my life! She is beyond talented and has such a special gift. If ANY OF YOU need a chiropractor, I recommend her highly and above all others. She is seriously the best and I am forever grateful for everything she’s given back to my life!

And then we met them as a COUPLE and loved them even more. Louis and Jenni are perfect together. We spent a casual and amazingly fun time together photographing them to celebrate their engagement. They are set to wed this July in FLORIDA and we are beyond blessed to have been the ones asked to photograph them celebrating their marriage to one another. These two are some of the best people.

We spent a magical evening with these three under the trees in Sedona not too long ago. When they had told us that they wanted a whimsical photo shoot up north, our ears perked up. We always love photographing families who are interested in putting the effort into making their photo shoot exceptional.

Mike, Jessica and their adorable little girl Madelyn rocked this shoot. They looked amazing, trusted us and our direction, and are some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. We can’t WAIT to photograph them again someday. And watching their little darling grow is a super fun part of the job for us!

We are heading to Tucson this weekend to shoot a wedding. So everyone have an amazing and SAFE holiday weekend!

Friends, family, dancing. A beautiful venue, drinks, gorgeous weather. A gorgeous bride, a handsome groom. Newlyweds that are wildly in love. This day was full of all of this and MORE. Chris + Christina danced late into the night celebrating with a lot of people who love them. It’s not hard to love these two. They are a blast to spend time with and bring the party wherever they go! I’ll stop gabbing and let the images speak for themselves. We know you’ll love these two as much as we do!

We went back to the place where it all started for these two. Heritage Square in downtown Phoenix is a very special place for them. They had their first date on the lawn next to Pizzeria Bianco AND it was that very spot in which they got ENGAGED some time later. When they mentioned that this whole area was important to them and a huge part of their story, we agreed that there should be no other place we should roam around to photograph them in.

Eamon + Steph are amazing. We had the greatest time! They LOOKED FABULOUS. Both of them were styled by the creative brilliance, Alexandra Evjen with AVE Styles. And if you know anything about us, you know how much we LOVE working with her. Alex is beyond talented at what she does and she pulled together looks for these two that were absolutely perfect. They were SO FUN to be around. Not only did they totally rock this shoot, but we had an amazing dinner afterwards getting to know them, hearing their story, and hoping to encourage and inspire them right where they’re at as well.
